每个人都有兴趣，每个人都会有做某事的动力。但至少从精神分析和迷幻的角度来看，我们都有攻击性的冲动。随着世界的发展，它们是生存所必需的，你知道，从进化的角度来看，如果你不能有侵略性，有人真的会跳起来，但当我们都应该有礼貌和文明时，该怎么处理一个人的侵略性呢。

在个体发展的过程中，他们遵循规则，这就是精神分析中我们所说的超我发展，超我发展的第一阶段是严厉和惩罚性的，“不要那样做，如果你那样做，你会受到惩罚”。因此，对与错的感觉都是关于侵略性的反应。然后，希望一种对错和道德感进入一个阶段，在这个阶段，你认同一个和谐的价值观体系，它对良好的价值观有积极的渴望，而不仅仅是对惩罚的恐惧。但似乎自恋型人格的人往往只会有这些负面反应。

Everybody has interests everybody has some drive to do something. But the way the mind is constituted at least from a psychoanalytic psychedelic point of view, we all have aggressive drives. They were necessary to survive as the world developed you know in terms of evolution if you couldn’t be aggressive somebody really jump, but what to do with one’s aggression when we are all supposed to be polite and civil nothing we all are. In the course of the development of the individual they take in rules it is what in psychoanalysis we call super-ego development and the first stage of super-ego development is harsh and punitive, "don’t do that, you will get punished if you do that". So the sense of right or wrong is all about aggressive responses. Later on, hopefully one sense of right and wrong and morality enters into a phase where you are identifying with a system of values that’s harmonious, it has positive aspiring to good values and not just fear of punishment. But it seems that people with narcissistic personality tend to be stuck just having those negative reactions. So nobody is truly empty but you imagine you are a little kid, a grade school kid, a high school kid, and college kid in an adult. Every time you begin to do something, suppose you are interested in tennis or the piano or riding. If every time you begin to do something automatically without your awareness and without your control, some part of your brain says that’s stupid, that’s bad, what garbage. Then you stop trying, because there’s something in you that destroys your own efforts. So that’s the connection between aggression and emptiness. The aggression attacks what would be the seeds that could grow into a full-blown person with their interests their accomplishments. But if there’s an attacked on any first step you take you wind up empty.
